One of my favorite things to look for in new technology is new vehicles that will be sustainable (not using fossil fuels).  I’ve seen a lot of new promising vehicles that have either just come out or will be out in the next 5 years… here are some of my favorites:

Tesla Roadster
This company has a good business model in that they are building an expensive sports car model first to help pay for R&D, but
unfortunately the $98,000 price tag puts it out of the reach of most of us. They promise to have new models in the future that
are affordable to most of us.

Aptera
I really like the look of this vehicle… it really looks like you are driving a land-bound jet. It has no mirrors but relies solely on video cameras and the vast window area. It’s got a decent price point too, at an MSRP around $30,000 depending on the pure electric or the hybrid version.

Tango
The Tango by Commuter Cars Corporation looks like a great little car (yes, it’s the one George Clooney is driving around in). It can fit into very small spaces and is a great commuting vehicle. They ARE a bit pricey (although they do have an $18,000 version, but the batteries will be of lesser quality), but maybe after mass production they will be able to increase the battery quality for the lower models.

Let me know what your favorites are and especially if you have had the opportunity to test drive an electric vehicle!
